Be one of the first to meet our new team member arriving very soon. This event is online, via Zoom, to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home!

We are excited to announce our new team member arriving very soon. The funds raised during this event will go towards her care including food and veterinary treatments. She is an Accredited Facility Dog (AFD) who has been raised and trained by Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) and is ready to join the team at Oak Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, a program of Archway Society for Domestic Peace. She will assist in the centre by supporting children disclosing their abuse, sitting with them during interviews and meetings and accompanying them to court. The funds raised will go towards her care including food and veterinary treatments.

Anyone who has been the victim of a crime can agree on how emotional the process following the incident can be. That’s where our new team member will come in to support child and youth victims when they are most vulnerable – having a facility dog available to comfort our clients will ensure we have the best possible atmosphere for them to disclose the crime committed against them.

We welcome Kim Gramlich Founder of Justice Facility Dogs Canada, Coordinator of Delta Police Victim Services and Director of Pacific Assistance Dog Society as our guest speaker to share with us the importance of Accredited Facility Dogs in victim services.

We have packed a special Wine and Cheese Pairing kit which includes a Cheese Board from Wedge Cheesery located in downtown Vernon, BC. Your kit also includes three bottles of wine from Intrigue Winery in Lake Country, BC. We will be getting social with Intrigue as they speak about their Social Wine line up. Kits include Social White, Social Red and Social Rose. There will be time for a brief Q&A with the Winery!  As a great addition to the evening, you will be able to purchase dinner from The Med Express. Meals are individually chef-prepared and fully cooked in their kitchen, all you have to do is heat up and enjoy!
